Meet Dr. Craig Pinello

VCASE President 2025-2027

Dear Colleagues and Members of the Virginia Council of Administrators of Special Education,

It is a great honor and a genuine pleasure to step into the role of President for the Virginia Council of Administrators of Special Education (VCASE). I am truly grateful for this opportunity to lead our wonderful organization and to work alongside all of you – the dedicated leaders who do so much to support students with disabilities across Virginia.

As we start this new chapter together, I first want to recognize the fantastic work of those who came before me and the strong foundation they have built for VCASE. Their hard work has made VCASE a key voice and resource for special education administrators throughout the Commonwealth.

VCASE has always been a place where we can find professional leadership, strong collegial support, and the latest information on best practices, as well as current local, state, and national trends in special education. Our connection with the national Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE) helps us all in our shared mission: to offer strong leadership and support to our members as we work together to shape policies and practices that improve the quality of education for every student we serve.

At the heart of everything we do is a deep belief in the worth, dignity, and unique potential of each student. We are committed to ensuring every student with disabilities has the right to a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE), along with the support and chances they need to truly shine.

As we move forward, I look forward to connecting with you, hearing your thoughts, and working together to achieve our common goals. Your expertise, passion, and dedication are what make special education in Virginia so successful.

Thank you for your ongoing commitment to our students and to VCASE. I’m excited for a productive and impactful year ahead with all of you!

Warmly,

Dr. Craig Pinello President, Virginia Council of Administrators of Special Education (VCASE)
